The PhD student is mentioned by name with a three year stipend to do the PhD in that country. After arrival at the group the supervisor refuses to pay the stipend. It has been transferred to a PostDoc position. The PhD student is asked to apply on his own for research grants next to working in the lab. During his work every half year new grant applications have to be done. Furthermore, bullying regarding the fact, that the student has got a girlfriend is normal. "We do not support your reproductive effort", a statement of one of the group members. The PhD student tries hard but returns to his home country after two years. The thesis can be finalized in cooperation with a local university in good times and with respect but with some years between due to mental health problems and aside a new job.
